International Logo Competition

The Pavilion is a global platform to inspire action and advocate for sustainable urban development with stakeholders across all sectors, using data and information to support evidence-based policy decisions supported by people-oriented, innovative solutions to development challenges faced by human settlements around the world.

We are pleased to announce the Pavilion’s new logo competition. This logo will represent the organisation in all official documents and communications.

The international competition for designing the best logo of the Pavilion is being run with the aim of securing a creative, clear, and understandable design for all the various audiences of the Pavilion and public.

The logo also needs to reflect the Pavilion’s role as a knowledge hub based in the city of Toronto, which hosts the Pavilion in the Regent Park area, as well as Canada as the country amongst the pioneers or leaders in supporting the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals in the world.

Introduction

The World Urban Pavilion in Regent Park (Pavilion) is a collaboration between the Urban Economy Forum and UN-Habitat, with the support of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and The Daniels Corporation. The Pavilion will create a springboard for collaboration and collective action to advance crucial conversations covering a wide range of topics relating to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), explore topics relating to urban economics and finance, and public participation through different lenses, as well as open dialogues about urbanisation globally. It will be a knowledge exchange hub for academic discourses, achievements, research, best practices, projects, ideas, and initiatives about urbanism to realize the goal of sustainable urban development, and in particular SDG 11 – making cities safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

Concept

The core theme of the Pavilion is based on sustainable urban development and urban revitalization.
